DASH
DASH builds document automation and accounts payable automation software for manufacturing and distribution companies. The platform integrates with existing ERP systems to reduce the volume of manual document processing, improve invoice accuracy, and eliminate the bottlenecks that slow down operations when paper-based or semi-manual workflows are the norm.
For manufacturing and distribution companies, operational efficiency depends on information moving quickly and accurately through the business. Purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents, and compliance records all flow through operations constantly. When those workflows are manual, errors accumulate, approvals lag, and finance teams spend time on work that does not require human attention. DASH automates those workflows at the source.
DASH was founded by Jim Van Hecke and a business partner, both of whom were approaching retirement when they partnered with Solen in 2025. The business needed a capable operator to carry it forward, and Solen had exactly that in place through the simultaneous partnership with SMRTR. The two businesses were combined, with DASH's document automation capabilities extending SMRTR's compliance and automation platform into a more complete offering for manufacturing and food and beverage customers.
The founders achieved the retirement outcome they were looking for. The business found a home where it would continue to be invested in and grown.
