In May 2026, SHEA Global became part of Solen Software Group. Founded in 1997, SHEA Global is an ERP consulting, implementation, and support services firm specializing in Syspro, with capabilities spanning Syspro and Microsoft Azure. From offices in Toronto and Vancouver, the team works with manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and food processing companies across North America.
SHEA Global now operates as part of smrtr, the workflow automation and compliance software business within the Solen portfolio.
ERP is the system a manufacturer or distributor runs on. Orders, inventory, production scheduling, purchasing, costing, and compliance records all live there. When the system reflects how the business truly operates, everything downstream gets easier. When it does not, people build workarounds and the company gradually loses a clear view of its own numbers.
Getting that fit right takes more than product knowledge. It takes a real understanding of how a specific plant, warehouse, or distribution operation runs day to day. SHEA has spent close to three decades building that understanding inside Syspro environments, and the team stays with customers well past go live: through training, through process changes, and through the ongoing ERP support that keeps a system current as the business grows.
The smrtr team builds workflow automation and compliance software for manufacturers, distributors, and food and beverage suppliers. Accounts payable automation, supplier compliance, document management, and electronic proof of delivery all depend on the operational data an ERP system holds.
SHEA works on that foundation, and smrtr works on the layer built above it. Customers who need both now have one group of people who understand the full picture, from the ERP implementation itself through the automation and compliance workflows that surround it.

In the near term, very little changes. The same team, the same offices in Toronto and Vancouver, and the same relationships carry forward. SHEA continues to serve its Syspro customers the way it has since 1997.
Over time, customers gain access to smrtr's product capabilities, which opens up room to automate manual work that tends to collect around an ERP system. That is the practical benefit of the two businesses sitting together rather than separately.
Solen is a permanent home for founder built software companies. There is no exit timeline and no plan to resell. What follows a partnership is reinvestment: in product, in the people who serve customers, and in the capabilities that make each business more useful to the customers it already has.
Bringing SHEA and smrtr together is one expression of that. Both businesses already serve manufacturers and distributors, so pairing ERP services expertise with automation and compliance software gives customers more depth in one place. SHEA also strengthens the portfolio's presence in Canada and deepens Solen's capabilities across the manufacturing and distribution software ecosystem.
Jeffrey Hunt, who founded SHEA in 1997, is moving into a new role within smrtr.
Software businesses that run critical workflows for their customers tend to be built slowly and carefully, often by one person who understood a problem better than anyone else. Those companies deserve owners who plan to be there for a long time. That is the standard Solen holds itself to, and it is the standard SHEA customers can expect going forward.
